The first thing you'll need to do is find an RTO (Registered Training Organisation) that provides the Certificate IV in Celebrancy.
Course prices vary considerably, but you can expect many courses to cost somewhere in the vicinity of $1,000–$4,000. The course itself can also take several months, and potentially more than a year, depending on the provider and how quickly you complete the assessments.
Once you've completed your qualification, you'll then need to apply to become an authorised marriage celebrant. This is $400. There’s also an annual registration fee of $170.
Can You Become a Celebrant Without a Certificate IV?

If you want to become a registered marriage celebrant in Australia, generally, no – you'll need to complete the required celebrant qualification before applying to become an authorised marriage celebrant.
However, there's an important distinction. You don't necessarily need to become a registered celebrant to lead someone's wedding ceremony.
