Choose ANYONE to be your Celebrant

Usually a week. The lessons sent to them will help build the ceremony from start to finish. They are fun, easy and go for 10 - 15 minutes each. I’ll always be on hand to help, too.

For My Celebrant Buddy Abroad, the legal obligations are completed in Australia prior to your ceremony taking place overseas (thus your marriage is officially recognised in Australia, and may not be recognised in the country of your destination wedding).

A local celebrant will be assigned to you at a place of your choosing (it can be a home, park, pub… anywhere!).

The Celebrant will complete your legals along with your partner and two witnesses. The documentation will then be lodged with your local state’s Births, Deaths and Marriages office.

The lessons cover everything from start to finish, but I’ll be on hand to check over scripts, discuss positioning, music etc. I’ve done more than 500 ceremonies and love being a Celebrant sensei.

The lessons are catered toward a traditional Australian wedding (though you are welcome to include some traditional customs from the country you are getting married in!).

Yes, those prices include the lessons and all the paperwork completed.

There is an additional marriage certificate from the government you can choose to apply for. It can be used to change your name and is around 50 - 60 dollars. This is not included in the price as some couples opt not to purchase it.

Depending on the package you choose, My Celebrant Buddy incorporates commitment ceremonies. During such commitment ceremonies, your Celebrant Buddy will need to advise to all present that the legal elements will be taken care of at another time by an Authorised Celebrant. The words ‘wedding’ or ‘marriage’ are to be avoided.
